Research of carrots on the main economically valuable signs, including tolerance in the ARRIVG-branch of the FSBSI FSVC (ARRIVG, NIIOH) has been conducted since the 1960s to the present. The purpose of the work: to identify the main economically valuable features of new parental forms, varieties and hybrids of carrots of the ARRIVG breeding. The initial research materials were varieties, lines, and hybrid populations of carrots of the genus Daucus carota L. domestic breeding. The area of the accounting plot is 7 m2, three-fold repetition. The selection process for the Korsar variety consisted in individual family selection based on the uniformity of root crops from the Vitaminnaya 6 variety. The Cruiser variety was obtained as a result of individual family selection based on the uniformity of root crops from the Losinoostrovskaya variety 13. The F1 Tavrida hybrid was created as a result of controlled crossing of the maternal line G883P with the pollinator line G67. The F1 Krasnogorye hybrid was created as a result of crossing the lines 661 P and ShR 47. It was revealed that the domestic varieties Korsar and Kreiser have high resistance to two pathogens Alternaria dauci and Fusarium oxysporum, with an average lesion score from 0.5 to 0.9, while the Vitamin 6 standard has a tolerance rating of 1.0 to 1.4. Hybrids F1 Tavrida and F1 Krasnogorye are in the group of low-susceptibility with a score from 0.8 to 1.1. Compared with the parent forms, the varieties had a high alignment of root crops and a high yield (by 5%), but a lower content according to biochemical characteristics (by 5-25% in carotene, by 5-6% in dry matter, and by 1-11% in total sugars). According to the principle of overdominance, productivity is inherited from all studied traits in all crossing combinations. Both combinations were distinguished by negative overdominance based on the dry matter content.
