Potato: problems and prospects

A review of the current state of the potato industry in Russia is presented. The analysis of the structure of the use of potatoes, the dynamics of acreage, gross yield and yield for the study period (2013–2018). A detailed analysis of the situation with the use of varietal resources of domestic and foreign originators and accumulated problems in potato seed production.
