The results of ecological testing of potato varieties of domestic and foreign breeding are presented. The varieties are evaluated according to the components of yield, productivity, plasticity parameters, stability, consumer qualities, and resistance to diseases. In three-year trials (2022-2024) in the Tula region, the following varieties stood out in terms of yield: Red Lady (41,7 t/ha), Belmond (38,2 t/ha), Lilly (34,7 t/ha), Bryansk delicacy (33,6 t/ha). The lowest level of yield variation over the years was observed in Labella (Cv=3,08%), Edison (Cv=8,97%), and Babyninsky (Cv=10,47%) varieties. The intensive type varieties (bi>1), characterized by the highest response to changing environmental conditions, include Red Lady and Belmond. Three varieties of foreign breeding have a negative value of the regression coefficient: Labella (bi=-0,29), Edison (bi=-0,37), Lilly (bi=-0,14), under limited moisture conditions in 2024, showed yields above the average by 5,6-8,6 t/ha. Plastic varieties with good yield stability include the Vectar variety (bi=1,13, Si2=1,20). The maximum productivity (697-873 g/bush) of commercial tubers is characterized by the varieties Vectar, Prada, Edison, Red Lady. The high dry matter yield was provided by the Bryansk Delicatessen, Red Lady, Belmonda, and Vektar varieties. Rum, Belmond, Bryansk delicacy, Vektar, and Edison varieties are distinguished by high starchiness (19,5-23,3%). According to starch yield, the following varieties were identified: Bryansk delicacy, Red Lady, Belmond (7,7-7,9 t/ha), it was noted that 42% of the tested varieties have an adaptivity coefficient less than unity, which indicates their lack of environmental sustainability. Bryansk delicacy, Koroleva Anna, Labella, Belmonda, Vektar, and Roma varieties have excellent taste qualities (9 points).
