Justification of the design and operating mode of the belt elevator of the automatic landing machine

The quality and volume of industrial production of commercial potatoes are directly related to the provision of the industry with good planting material. The events of recent years have shown that the import of seeds from the leading potato-producing countries can be restricted or completely blocked. It follows from this that the production of seed and planting material of the most important agricultural crops should be considered as one of the main tasks of the domestic agro-industrial complex. In this direction, it is necessary to combine the efforts of scientific and industrial potential for the creation of domestic varieties of agricultural crops, the development of technologies and technical means for breeding and seed production. The article discusses the design features of an automatic planting machine designed for use in potato seed production. The high-speed modes of the elevator belt and the planting machine are justified, for the condition of tubers falling out of spoons according to the law of free fall of bodies, excluding the effect of the difference in the size of planting tubers on the uniformity of their discharge into the furrow, the diameters of the lower leading and upper bypass rollers of the elevator belt are determined. The main requirements for the design of an automatic planting machine are the uniformity of the arrangement of tubers in the furrow at a given distance, the depth of sealing, the absence of doubles and omissions. The proposed design of the planting apparatus with the estimated dimensions of the bypass roller no less than 44 cm, the leading roller no more than 12 cm and the double-sided design of spoons with the possibility of installing replaceable bowls on their reverse side will allow for better planting of not only mini-tubers, but also super-super elite, super elite, reproductive and food potatoes. The design of the spoons, depending on the installed bowls, will allow the planting machine to be used not only in seed production, but also on small-contour plots of farmers and in private subsidiary farms of the population.
