The transition to sustainable agriculture requires fertilization strategies that minimize environmental impacts and increase yields and product quality. The purpose of the study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the effect of various fertilizer application systems on the standard yield of broccoli cabbage and on its biochemical quality indicators. Laboratory and field experience was conducted in 2024-2025 at the experimental site of the agrochemical research sector of the VNIIO - a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific and Scientific Center. The soils of the experimental massif belong to the type of alluvial meadow saturated soils. The experiment was conducted in accordance with the «Methodology for Field Experiments in Vegetable Growing» by S.S. Litvinov. Agrochemical analyses were carried out in accordance with GOST: 26213-91; 34789-2021; 26483-85; 26951-86; 26204-91; 26204-91; 26212-2021; 27821 - 2020. Biochemical analyses were performed according to the following GOST: 28561–90; 8756.13–87; 29270–95. The experimental design included five options: control without fertilizers; recommended dose of the main mineral fertilizer; application of bio-compost as the main organic fertilizer; application of mineral fertilizers on the background of bio-compost, calculated using the method of plant nutrition diagnostics based on the leaf petiole and soil analysis. The best yields were achieved when using bio-compost in combination with mineral fertilizers calculated based on soil diagnostics. In 2024, the yield was 13.1 t/ha, and in 2025, it was 17.5 t/ha. The higher yield in 2025 is due, in our opinion, to favorable humidification conditions of the year (GTK 1.32 versus 0.93 in 2024). Biochemical quality indicators also performed best in the organo-mineral fertilizer application system: the dry matter content in 2024 was 14.3%, sugars 2.8%, ascorbic acid 77.8 mg% In 2025, dry matter is 10.7%, sugars 2.5%, ascorbic acid 51.9 mg%.
