When growing lettuce in hydroponic conditions, NFT technology is often used. At the same time, almost all greenhouses have seedling tables, which, outside of the main turnover, can be used to produce fresh lettuce using tide-out technology. When using pots with a larger diameter (7 cm), you can grow lettuce without using substrates by arranging the salad pots on the tables in a checkerboard pattern. To confirm the possibility of growing new varieties of lettuce on seedling tables without using substrates, it is necessary to conduct research. The research was conducted at the Scientific Research Institute of Vegetable Crop Breeding LLC on the basis of PJSC Agrokombinat Moskovsky in a heated greenhouse on seedling tables by flooding during the spring growing period in 2024-2025. The mass of plants with a pot, the diameter and height of the rosette of lettuce plants, depending on the variety type and the number of plants in the pot, were compared. It was revealed that the highest mass was in the Pilgrim variety in the variant of growing three plants per pot – 302.4 grams, the lowest in the Reef variety when growing one plant per pot – 186.6 grams. The diameter of the rosette during the study period ranged from 20.9 cm for the Caesar variety in the two plants per pot variant to 32.6 cm for the Afficon variety (standard) in the one plant per pot variant. The height of the rosette varied from 18.1 cm for the Pulse variety in the variant with one plant per pot to 28.3 cm for the Caesar and Gypsy varieties. According to the results of the assessment of the mass, size parameters of the rosette of leaves and visual assessment of the marketability of lettuce varieties, it is shown that the new varieties Caesar, Gypsy, Pilgrim, Impulse, Cascade, Reef showed high productivity and adaptability in terms of «ebb and flow» technology.

Key words: hydroponics, lettuce, variety, productivity, rosette of leaves height, rosette of leaves diameter.
